About helentranckle

I graduated at the Surrey Institute of Art & Design University College in Farnham, (now UCA) with Fine Art BA Hons and then went on to The University of Reading in 2008, to gain a PG Diploma, ‘The Body and Representation'. I am a Resident Artist at the 360° Trust in Filleigh, North Devon working as a printmaker and painter.

Printmaking Courses – September

A choice of 2 six week courses suitable for beginners and experienced:

Tuesday, 9th September, beginners and experienced (2 spaces left)
2:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Fee: £190 includes materials and refreshments.

Wednesday 10th September, beginners and experienced (5 people max)
6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Fee: £190 includes materials and refreshments.

Please wear old clothes and bring any ideas/sketchbooks you may have.

PRINTMAKING CLASSES STARTING IN JUNE

Beginners/Experienced Class: Tuesday,10th June, 2pm – 5pm
Cost: £190

Beginners/Experienced Class: Wednesday, 11th June, 6pm – 9pm
Cost £190

All materials included and limitless tea, coffee and biscuits.

These inspiring courses offer beginners and those with more experience in printmaking the opportunity to explore a wide range of printing techniques over 6 weeks. Beginners will experience both hands-on training and demonstrations. Techniques will include monoprinting by hand and with a press. relief, collagraphs, drypoint, chine colle and carborundum prints. The course gives an excellent overview of many printing methods and processes with the exception of acid etching.

For the more experienced, there is the opportunity to explore ideas further and also perhaps try out more techniques. These sessions are more self negotiated but include technical help and guidance.

The studio is well equipped with a Tofko Prof etching press which can print up to A2 size prints and an exciting choice of different inks.
Please bring any ideas with you, sketches etc. you may have, pencils and an apron if you have one.
